GRAND AMERICAN ROAD RACING

Goldin Brothers Racing competes in the most professional racing series for sports cars on the North American continent, Grand American Road Racing. “Grand American”, as it is called, is divided into 2 basic series of races: the Rolex Sports Car Series and the Grand-Am Cup Series. Grand American is operated by the same family that administrates NASCAR. Part of the success of this series is the formula of cars and events that cater to American teams and American fans. Visit the website: www.grandamerican.com

Grand American Road Racing continues to define and develop racing programs with a new concept in GT (grand touring) racing and a streamlined class line-up in the Grand-Am Cup Series. Grand-Am Cup cars are straight off the showroom floor with only minimal racing modifications to enhance safety and performance while embracing new concepts that control the costs of competition. The design of the series promotes excitingly close racing, attracting the support of auto manufacturers like BMW, Mazda and General Motors. Thus the list of eligible car makes and models has been expanded to encompass all major brands from around the globe, becoming a proving ground for many of today’s automotive manufacturers. “Cup” is also attracting racing drivers from around the world.

Goldin Brothers Racing’s Mazda RX-8’s compete in the Rolex Series, taking the team to some of the most prestigious race courses in North America. The Rolex Series schedule of 10 races provides ample exposure for the production-based cars that fill the grids, fueling both manufacturer commercial ads and public imagination. Owners of Mazda street cars, for example, will want their cars to emulate the looks and performance of what they see in televised Rolex Series races.
